A-1H Skyraider

Tamiya's 1/48 scale A-1H Skyraider is available online from Squadron.com

Here are some pics of my Tamiya 1/48 scale A-1H Skyraider made some time ago.

It is built straight from the box and I found it an enjoyable kit to build. It is painted mainly with Tamiya Acrylics apart from the exhaust staining which is from the Xtracolor range, as is the final varnish after the decals were applied. The metal leading edges are from Bare metal foil but they have dulled down during the model weathering.

The only 'extras' used on the model were the decals from Cutting Edge, etched brass for the pilots harness, Lycra thread for the aerial and small lengths of wire from fine multi-strand electrical cable for the static wires on the trailing edges of the ailerons, rudder and elevators.
