Messerschmitt Bf 109G-4

Hasegawa's 1/32 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109G-4 is available online from Squadron.com

Description

Here is my Revell 1/32 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109G-4 Trop. The subject aircraft is the plane of Ernst Wilhem Reinert based at Castel Benito in January 1943, and was assigned to JG77.

The model was, as usual, a pleasure to build.

I used a few MDC resin parts on this project including the spinner, the complete interior and cockpit set, the exhaust stacks, and the wheels. All of these parts where extremely easy to work with, and they impart a great deal of reality to a really nice model.

My model was painted using Gunze acrylics. The decals are from Eagles Strike, except for the upper wing crosses which are the box decals. Also, the number 10 has been painted with the help of Black Magic masks. Finally, the JG 77 emblems are from Mike Grant decals.

I would like to thank Erik Whipple for the JG 77 decals, Vincent Kermorgant for the technical help and all the MDC parts, and Helmut Latoschinski for the precious information about the camouflage scheme of this aircraft.
