Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6

Hasegawa's 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 is available online from Squadron

Description

Here is my 1/48 Hasegawa Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6. The kit was built with the addition of the Aires cockpit set and Moskit exhausts. The model was painted and weathered using Gunze and Tamiya acrylics with my Iwata Custom Micron B.

The model was weathered 100% with the Iwata airbrush using 'post-shade' and 'post-fade' techniques. Chipping was with a silver pencil.

The decals are from Eagle Cal #42 and depict Horst Carganico's machine from II./JG5. The reference photo included with the decal showed a very patchy and worn whitewash so I wanted to steer away from making it too 'white' and tried to make it more of a muted, faded white/grey look.
