Brewster Buffalo

This is a Buffalo flown by Capt. William C. Humberd USMC during the Battle of Midway.

Humberd was in the Third Division of VMF-221, and claimed both a B5N2 and and A6M during the June 4 fracas, plus damage to another B5N2. He received the Navy Cross for this action. This particular Buffalo seemed to have problems with oil seeping out of the seams of the forward fuselage.
