Description

Here is my Hasegwa 1/48 scale MacchiC.205 of Serie III by Hasegawa, finished in the never-before seen markings of 4st Stormo during the summer of 1943 in Calabria, shortly after the Allied beach-head in Sicily.

It has been painted as 91-4 was, consulting some rare pictures of the period, which I was fortunate to have in my collection. These will be included in a forthcoming book edited by IBN of Rome with me as author.

There are no know pics of 4th Stormo’s Veltros before Armistice with partial or complete markings, and I hope this new book will fill the gap. ]

The wing and engine areas of the model have been opened to permit the Mauser cannon and the engine to be exposed.
