Description

This is my latest model. It is the old 1/48 scale Monogram Sopwith Camel and was an enjoyable build.

I used a combination of stretched sprue and fine wire for the rigging. The struts were made from plastic strut material and installed after filling the troughs molded in the wing. The cockpit is partially scratchbuilt. The guns barrels were drilled out and a ring sight was added from a photo-etch set.

The markings are from Eagle Strike sheet 48081. No. 10 Squadron RNAS, A flight.

I really enjoyed building this kit. It was my first WWI subject, but it wont be my last.
