Description

This is a 1/144 Oz Mods Camberra modified for a T.17 version of 360 sq of RAF.

Oz Mods (from Australia) released the E.E. Camberra B.2 with 3 different painting versions (1 Australian,1 British and 1 American) but I always wanted make a Camberra in the "hemp" scheme, so I decided on the T.17 version.

The kit has a nice cockpit and seat and is easier to build than the Oz mods F-86 I started by sanding the whole kit with 800 to 2000 wet sandpaper and used CA glue in the building process. Mr Surfacer 1000 took care of mainor repairs and the model was painted with Gunze acrylics.

I made the new nose with epoxy compound. The flaps were dropped and I also made several ECM bumps and antennas, and opened some windows.

For the decals I painted a clear decal film with red (for the retangular red bars) and yellow colors (for the lightning bolts) and cut and composed the markings for the EM and WD955 I used white decadry letters and numbers over the clear decal film.

If you decide to build this kit I just advise you to put plenty of weight in the nose! This is necessary because the Canberra plane has short landing gear legs and a good amount of plane is behind of main landing gear.

I want to say Thanks to Alex Bernardo (for the info), to Marcelo Sassine (for the digital shots), and to a fellow HyperScaler who send me a letter with info (sorry lost your name and e-mail, if possible send me a e-mail with your address), and thanks for Bruce Scott for sending me this kit and Greg Anderson for making these kits in 1/144 scale.
