F-4J(UK) Phantom II

Hasegawa's 1/48 Scale F-4J Phantom II is available online from Squadron

This is the Hasegawa F-4B/N Phantom 1/48. A bit of minor surgery and padding and it becomes an F-4J!

The model represents F-4J(UK) ZE 361/P, of No. 74 SQN. RAF Wattisham, 1988.

The upper surfaces are Xtra Color RAF Barley Grey, and XC RAF Medium Sea Grey. The undersides are Model Master Light Gull Grey.

An old Model Technologies canopy detail set was used along with Verlinden Mk.7 seats. The main wheels are from True Details.

Since this an early Hasegawa Phantom, it has none of the engraved paneling of the later ones.

Decaling was done with an Aero Master sheet as shown.
