Description

This is my 1/48 scale Revell F-8 Crusader.

I rescribed the whole thing and used the Black Box cockpit set. This is not a bad set but the ejection seat is a little to big for my taste (had some problems getting the canopy to fit). For the rest it is built straight from the box (like most of my kits).

I used Gunze paints for the most of the paint job.

Decals are a mix of the ones included in the box and an old sheet I ripped from the old ESCI kit. The checkers on the tail and the air intake are airbrushed, as are the fins under the tail.

For those detail freaks out there, the model is not 100% correct....I know that. But my goal is to build a model that I'm happy with. For the simple reason that it has to sit on my shelve and I have to look at it every day. And believe me, every time I look at it I'm happy!
