Description

Here is my Canadian Sherman Firefly with a full crew plus nine infantry including a Bren gun team and 2" mortar team.

The basic vehicle is Dragon's 1/35 scale M4A4. Tamiya putty and Testor's liquid cement were used to spruce up the surface texture. The Aber photo-etched set was also employed.

This close-up of the turret (below) reveals the scratchbuilt basket, interior and breech.

Figures are Tamiya, Dragon, Ultracast or a combination of all three! Also thrown into the mix are the Resicast Commonwealth infantry set plus Ultracast and Hornet heads. Every figure was modified to some extent, some drastically.

The figures were painted with artist's oils and Archer transfers.

The base is made from plaster, and incorporates aluminum wire trolley tracks.
