Tamiya's 1/48 scale F4F-4 Wildcat is available online from Squadron.com
 

This is my Tamiya 1/48 F4F-4 in VF6 markings (USS Enterprise – April 1942).

Construction is straight from the box.

The seam in the front fuselage was covered with a Bare Metal Foil panel. The only add ons were a pre-painted harness from Eduards and a Quickboost gunsight.

Early style national insignias were sprayed with home made masks. Base colour for the upper surface is a mixture of Gunze Aircraft Gray H56 and Intermediate Sea Blue H57.
