Trumpeter's 1/32 scale F4U-1D Corsair is available online from Squadron

Here is Trumpeter's 1/32 scale Vought F4U-1D backdated to an F4U-1 Birdcage Corsair for an upcoming Osprey Modelling Series title.

The Lone Star Models birdcage canopy and resin tutledeck were used for the conversion, plus Contact Resine wheels and a number of scratchbuilt and modified items.

Chris Wauchop painted, weathered and decaled this model.

PYN-Up decals from sheet number PYND32002 were employed.

Construction, detailing, conversion and painting of this kit will be described in the forthcoming book, Modelling the F4U Corsair, due for publication in October, 2005.
