F4U-1D Corsair

Tamiya's 1/48 scale F4U-1D Corsair is available online from Squadron

I´m pleased to present this F4U-1D Corsair at 1/48 scale from Tamiya.

The model represent a Corsair on board Escort Carrier CVE-109 USS Cape Gloucester, approximately on September1945.

The model was painted using Tamiya acrylics, Marabu varnish and weathered with pastels and oil wash.

Marking codes, and yellow and white strips were air-brushed using Tamiya adhesive tape.

The model is provided with a small dc-current engine from an old tape-player.
