It has been a while, but here it is. I have been working on this little number for a while now, and the effort has been worthwhile. I reviewed these figures from Warriors some months ago and they were just screaming to be built. Assembly was basic, with only the arms and heads to add to the torsos. Fit was very good, speeding the build process.
Next came the fun part - painting - which was achieved with Vallejo acrylics. I chose two different uniforms to add a little variety to the overall scene, one in Olive Drab and the other in camouflage that many soldiers dreaded wearing in the European theatre due to the risk of mistakenly being targeted as the enemy in combat. The base was built from a left over Verlinden item recovered and textured, with static grass added, a small fence from scrap strips of Artesian timber and finally a "tree", which was cut from the neighbor's garden (with permission of course). The objective was to convey the tragedy and tension of combat.
