P-47D "Bubbletop"

Tamiya's 1/48 scale P-47D Bubbletop is available online from Squadron

Here is my last project - Tamiya's 1/48 scale P-47D Bubbletop, painted with Gunze acrylics and using Aeromaster decals.

The kit was built straight from the box except the seat and the harness, which were,from Eduard.

The other minor modifications include the oleos on the landing legs, and the spark plug wires on the engine.

This kit is fantastic to build and was very straightforward.

The aircraft depicts Dave Shilling's P-47 from the 56 FG based in Boxted in 1944.

I would like to thank Steven "Modeldad" Eisenman for his help on this model.
