Hasegawa's 1/32 scale Bf 109G-6 is available online from Squadron.com
This picture shows a Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6, wearing colours and
markings of Alfred Suraus mount of JG 3 in spring 1944.
The "Hundertneun" is sitting on the tarmac of
Hörsching airbase, a fighter base established to protect the steelworks
of Linz in Upper- Austria.
One of the two 109s in the background is of special
interest, it shows a "low visibility" camouflage of solely RLM 76. This
camouflage was used for a short time in spring 1944 for 2./JG 3, these
machines giving top cover for the bomber intercepting Fw 190s of JG 3.
Background
The Bf 109s shown are 1/32 models from Hasegawa.
The facility indeed is Hörsching airfield, nowadays a civilian as a
military airport. Of course it was not photographed in 1944 but in 2005,
when I left for holidays in Greece!
The buildings visibel in the background actually
date back to these grim war years. Jagdgeschwader 3 was never stationed
in Hörsching, but it was home for Bf 109 equipped units until the end of
the war.
