Here is Anthony Sheedy's 1/35 scale Italeri Sd.Kfz. 234/1 armoured car.
The old Italeri kit was updated with a number of improvements and
modifications. A mix of civilian and military pattern rims and tyres was
fitted. Anthony also used a DML 250/9 turret with the Aber 234/1 turret
set.

The model was further detailed with the standard Aber photo-etched
set for the 234, as well as scratchbuilt brake lines, electrical
conduit, detailed Tamiya Bosch headlights and other detail parts.
It was painted using Gunze acrylics, and weathered using the James
Blackwell postshading method and pastel chalks.
Figures are from Warriors SS Wespe crew.
The photos were taken with a Nikon D70 digital camera fitted with a
60mm Micro Nikkor lens. The camera was set to Aperture Priority, with
the aperture at F.32.
This eye catching model was in competition at the recent Melbourne
Model Expo 2005, where it took third in its category.
