Sd.Kfz.7 with 88mm Flak 36

Tamiya's 88mm Flak 36/27 and Crew is available online from Squadron

This a diorama in 1/35 scale of a artillery tractor Sd.Kfz. 7 ton towing an 88mm Flak 36/37 gun somewhere in Russia summer 1942.

The SDKFZ and 88mm gun belong to an artillery unit of "Grossdeutschland" Panzer Grenadier division taking a break after long ride on dusty Russian roads . The crew use this opportunity to check towing equipment and material loaded on vehicle and taking some rest, drinking water,etc. Their commanding officer is discussing with motorcycle Feldgendarmes about best way to go on their combat position.

Both tractor and gun are from Tamiya in 1/35 scale while the motorcycle is Italeri in the same scale.All models were painted Humbrol HM4 Panzer Gray with 25% flat with mixed with gray to faded color and give a weathered effect,.

All vehicles was sprayed overall with PollyS dust.

The tarps put on gun to protect weapon against dust were made from Kleenex tissues soaked in a solution of water and white glue and when dried painted dark green.

All figures are a mix of Tamiya and Italeri and some of them are modified in various poses.
