Spitfires Over Darwin

Here is another of my new paintings. It depicts two Mk.Vc Spitfires over Darwin. It has been painted with oil paints on stretched canvas.

I broke from my normal method of painting on this project. I set up a Tamiya Spitfire that I had converted to a Mk.Vc with the Red Roo resin conversion set and shot some digital images of it. I combined two seperate images for the one scene and painted them against an imaginary cloudscape.
