Description

Every once in a while, I'll get an e-mail asking me if I ever plan to do aircraft like the Spitfire, Hurricane, Mustang etc., to which I have always replied  'No' - firstly because I prefer the more obscure types, and secondly because there is already plenty of very good aviation art out there that shows such beasties.

But now I've given in - almost.

This image depicts a Hawker Hurricane in Soviet service, 1942. It's a Mk. XI version, converted from Canadian Hurricanes that had been sent to the Soviet Union.

At least 20 of these 2-seat variants were made, and they were used for artillery spotting duties.
