Lancaster Mk.10
Drone Carrier

Tamiya's 1/48 scale "Prop Action" Lancaster is available online from Squadron.com

Introduction

Here is my RCAF Lancaster 10 DC carrying 2 Ryan KDA-4 Firebee drones.2 Lancaster MK-X were modified in early sixties to carry drones for experimental program at Cold Lake AFB in Alberta .Both belonged to the Central Experimental Proving Establishment / Air Armament Detachment (CEPE/AAED)
They were coded PX-851 no KB-851 and PX-848 no KB848
.
My model is PX-851 KB 851 a modified Lancaster. the drones are scrachtbuilt.

The kit is a modified Lancaster from Tamiya in 1/48 scale without upper turret and no ventral radar .Ryan Firebee are scratchbuilt based on modified fuel tanks of an F-15 in 1/32 scale, wings and tail are scratch from plastic sheet.
