Vought OS2U-3 Kingfisher

This is my 1/48 scale Vought-Sikorsky OS2U-3 Kingfisher based on the old Monogram kit.

The model was enhanced with the Cutting Edge superdetailed cockpit set, corrected cowl set and corrected floats.

The rear sliding canopy was produced from the Falcon vac formed set, which is perfect for positioning the clear parts in the open position.

Testor Model Master paints were used to paint the kit.

Decals are from Aeromaster set, Kingfisher Part II, representing a trainer at NAS Corpus Christi TX, in 1942
