P-47D-21-RE Razorback

Tamiya's 1/48 scale P-47D Thunderbolt is available online from Squadron.com

Georgia Peach was built using the 1/48 scale Tamiya P-47D Razorback kit. The kit goes together superbly as mentioned many times on HyperScale.

The seat was the only item that was not used. This part was replaced with an Ultracast resin seat with moulded-on harness.

The kit was painted with Alclad 2, Aluminium over Alclad gloss black primer. Various panels were then painted with different shades of Alclad 2.

The decals were from Eagle Strike Productions and depict the aircraft 42-25520 Georgia Peach a P47D-21RE from the 510FS, 405 Fighter Group.
