P-51D Mustang
1/24 Scale Trumpeter Kit

Trumpeter's 1/24 scale P-51D Mustang is available online from Squadron

Here is my 1/24 scale P-51D Mustang from Trumpeter.

I built the kit straight from the box. I only corrected the panel lines on the engine hood and the angle of the engine.

Blue nose Mustangs are my favourites, so I used the decals from the old Airfix 1/24 scale kit.

The national insignia, code letters and the nose inscription are airbrushed.

For the metal finish I used Testors Metalizer in various shades.

Despite the controversy surrounding this kit, it looks good to me.

Ultimately, anyone who wants a perfect model in dimension and detail in this scale must do so from scratch!
