Introduction

This is Steve Palffy's 1/35 scale Tamiya Panther Ausf. G, early version.

The model is built almost straight from the box except the zimmerit, which was added from Tamiya Putty.

Steve used the Tamiya HG Super Fine airbrush to finish this kit. The base colour is a 50/50 mix of Tamiya Dark Yellow and Desert Sand, with a little White added afterwards. The disruptive shades are Tamiya Dark Green lightened with white and Red Brown tinted with Yellow.

Following the basic painting, the whole model received a light wash in Raw Umber oil paint.

The tracks were painted Flat Earth, with a drybrush of silver to represent wear and tear. A Sienna wash tied in these colours.

Tow cables were painted with a black mix and dry-brushed with Silver.
