CL.13B Sabre Mk.6

Hasegawa's 1/32 scale F-86F-40 Sabre is available online from Squadron.com

Description

I have converted Hasegawa's F-86F-40 in 1/32 scale into a German Air Force (GAF) CL.13B Mk.6 in the colors of  2.Staffel ,Jagdgeschwader 71 "Richthofen" as seen in a NATO Fighter Competiton in 1961 at Leeuwarden AFB, Netherlands.

The main work in this conversion involves trimming the long wing Sabre F-86F-40 to a short wing CL.13B Mk.6. A good scale drawing for this step can be found with the Leading Edge decals for Canadian Sabre in all three scales.

The natural metal finish is simple kitchen aluminium foil of which I have used only the back side, not the shiny side. The rivet details are first sanded and than brought again onto the model.

I made the decals for my GAF Sabre myself using the computer.
