This is a Supermarine Seafire L Mk IIc depicting an 809 Sqn Fleet Air
Arm aircraft aboard HMS Stalker in January 1944. The aircraft is that of
Major Al Wright, Royal Marines, who was Comamnding Officer at the time.
The serial is provisional based on an entry in Sturtivant's Aircraft of
the Fleet Air Arm 1939-45.
The model is based on the Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire Mk Vb with the following
additions to produce a late Seafire L Mk IIc:

XII C Wing

MDC tailkhook, fuselage reinforcements
and exhausts
