Spitfire Mk.XVI

 MPM's 1/48 scale Spitfire Mk.IXc/e is available online from Squadron.com

This is my Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XVI which I built using the MPM Spitfire Mk.IX. This kit is actually the Ocidental kit with some very nice resin pieces included.

I used Ron's Resin's replacement nose and spinner in order to correct the misshapen kit nose.

The Mk.XVI shape was created ising the very fine Aeroclub conversion plus a Falcon canopy.

Paint is from Xtracolour The markings are from the Sky Models Spitfire set with Xtradecal roundels and fin flashes.
