Description

Here are some shots of my first diorama attempt. The figures poses (Tamiya, Jaguar, Custom Dioramics) were modified and Hornet heads were added. These are the first figures I have painted and could not have done so without the help of those that frequent HyperScale's figure forum.

Some of the work done:

  • Kubelwagen backdated to 1942 version and detailed using Aber set 35-079

  • DKW Motorcycle detailed with vacuformed fenders, modified engine and frame, Aber set 35-091

  • Bikes detailed with vacuformed fenders, modified frames, Aber set 35-097

  • Fuel cans detailed with Aber set 35-A70

  • Figures modified with Hornet heads.

  • Other detail sets used:

    • Aber Hand Tools 35-A68, Small Leaves (vine) D-04, Cutlery & Kitchen Accessories 35-A36

    • Verlinden German Clothing 1396, Food Supplies 1005, German Motorcyclist 1402, German Food Supplies 1204, Market Place Water Pump 269 (detail added), German Shepherd Dogs 248

    • Jaguar "Getting Hitched" German Mechanic 63127 (figure on bike)

    • Custom Dioramics Riding Woman CD4007 (figure on bike)

    • Czech Master German Infantry Equipment #3 S-35011

    • Plus Model German Kitchen Equipment 116

The fountain is an early Verlinden product but with added details from (of all things) charm bracelet pieces (lions and grapes).
