Description

Here is my 1/72 scale Panavia Tornado IDS from Revell AG, kit #04361 "Tigermeet". This Tornado was built entirely out-of-box, only a pitot tube was replaced by metal one made of 4 pieces. It is my only plane I built in 1/72 in last ten years however I have really enjoyed to complete it. Thanks a lot to Revell for very fine engraving and very detailed and precise parts.

My model was airbrushed with Humbrol, Revell and Agama mixed enamels, oversprayed with satin varnish. Panel lines were washed to highlight.

The plane I modeled was flown by Bundesluftwaffe Jagdbombergeschwader 31 "Boelcke" in Goose Bay, Canada 1990 (one of 3 marking variants from a box decal sheet).

It was a pleasure to build this model. Images were taken by a digital 3 megapixel Olympus camera.
